Chemical Sensitivities

There are literally thousands of chemicals and pollutants found in our environment, now more than ever before in our history.

Humans continue to create chemicals for use in consumer and everyday products, some are benign, but others are not and can be very problematic.  Many people can experience allergy type symptoms to some of these chemicals now found in our environment.

These symptoms can include things like skin or breathing issues, coughing, headaches, eye, nose or throat issues, muscle pain, fatigue, immune issues, joint pain, dizziness, nausea, difficulty concentrating or sensitivity to smells.

Chemicals can be found in carpets, perfumes, personal care products, petrol, paints, building materials, petroleum, candles, furniture off gassing, scents, air fresheners, or smoke as some examples.  Chemical sensitivities are seen more frequently in people with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue.

Nearly 26% of the population reports some type of chemical sensitivity, per National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) study from March 2018.
