Meet the Practitioner
Hi. My name is Stacy. I was raised in a small town in Connecticut. I was fortunate to grow up in the woods and to be surrounded by nature. My grandparents owned a nursery, so I was immersed in plants, trees and flowers. My grandmother was always designing a salve or a soup for our ailments. From a young age I realized that food was medicine and that plants were healing and nourishing.
As a young child I knew that I loved science and all aspects of wellness and that I wanted to become a nurse. I went to college in Boston and earned a degree in Nursing and a Bachelors in Science. I have been practicing Critical Care Nursing for 25 years, mainly as an Adult ICU Nurse. I am also certified in Palliative Care and I work as a Hospice Nurse. As a nurse I have been witness to so many amazing healing experiences.
I have always had a passion for Natural Solutions. I have an autoimmune family so a holistic approach has been so important for our wellness. I have also had my own personal journey with autoimmune disease and have learned so much through this process. Over the years my thirst for knowledge has led me to study Nutrition and to go to school for Homeopathy. I believe that healing is a very personal experience and that we need to find what allows us to thrive.
I moved to Virginia in 2000 when I met my husband. We have three amazing children as well as a Goldendoodle and a Hedgehog. We live a full life with our kid’s sports and activities that I am grateful for. I still love to garden and to relax by taking nature walks and to unwind at our lake escape.
I was introduced to AAT about 7 years ago after I developed an inappropriate response to a dental procedure. My Family Practitioner sent me to Striving for Health. I immediately felt better and was able to get my health back on track with Debritt’s treatments and guidance. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing process.
